Lucas White
Lucas White is a Nashville-based guitarist, vocalist, songwriter, and producer whose roots run deep in American bluegrass music. A Texas State Guitar Champion at age fifteen, White has spent years building a reputation as both a performer and advocate for songwriters, appearing on stages ranging from local festivals to the Grand Ole Opry.
Known for his powerful flatpicking, traditional influences, and modern approach to the music business, White has shared the stage with some of the most respected names in bluegrass and Americana while helping develop artists through his company, Playback Management.
Whether performing with Nash Grass Unit, collaborating in the studio, or writing songs inspired by life on the road, White brings authenticity, musicianship, and a deep respect for the traditions that shaped him. His music blends the spirit of bluegrass, country, and American roots music with a fresh perspective for a new generation of listeners.
Class Desciption
Practice with Purpose is a hands-on class focused on building effective practice habits that lead to real musical growth. Together, we’ll explore how to practice efficiently, how to use a metronome as a tool instead of a crutch, and simple strategies for improving timing, technique, consistency, and musical confidence. Whether you’re trying to play cleaner, faster, or with greater control, this class will give you practical methods you can take home and apply to your daily practice routine. No advanced theory is required, but students should have a basic familiarity with their instrument.
Zander Chovanes
Zander Chovanes is a multi-instrumentalist based in Bozeman, Montana. Zander spends his time playing in a wide range of touring acts all over the world. Through his work with Abby Webster, Scratchin’ Gravel, and Vansire, Zander has shown he is capable of playing multiple instruments and styles at a high level.
Growing up in Philadelphia, Zander started off playing electric guitar with a group of friends in High School. Moving to Charleston, South Carolina, in 2013 exposed him to more acoustic music with bluegrass and americana influence. Finally settling in Montana in 2015 Zander has since become a staple in the Montana music scene playing with many different acts throughout the state and beyond.

Class Description
In my Class we are going to explore the role of a mandolin in a bluegrass group. We will work on our rhythm, singing and playing, some scales, and a couple fiddle tunes. I want everyone to become more musically aware of the sounds they are making in support of a song. That means we will have a strong emphasis on dynamics and listening to our fellow musicians!
We will also take some time to explore the physicality of the instrument and work on some exercises that will improve our technique and tone. Overall, I want this class to be tailored to what YOU the students want to learn and there is room in the curriculum to adjust to you. It is my goal that everyone walks away a more discerning and intentional musician. Can’t wait to pick!
Sam Stuckey
Sam Stuckey is a Roots, Progressive Bluegrass, and Country music artist and singer/songwriter. Hailing from Butler, Pennsylvania, but now residing in Nashville, Tennessee, Sam was an active member of the Western Pennsylvania roots music community. His blending of guitar picking styles complements his higher, rustic bluegrass harmony. He has also spent a number of years as a mandolin and upright bass sub-player.
At the age of 12, Sam Stuckey began playing guitar. His early influences were derived around classic rock bands of the 60s, 70s, and 80s; however, it wasn’t until his sophomore year of college that Sam discovered his passion for roots music, particularly bluegrass. His current influences include bands such as The Travelin’ McCoury’s and The Infamous String Dusters, and guitar enthusiasts such as Molly Tuttle and Bryan Sutton.
In 2018 and 2019, Sam made it on to the DelFest main stage after his song arrangement was chosen in the Band Scramble. Sam has also opened for artists and bands such as The Allegheny Drifters, The Barefoot Movement, The Stray Birds, Billy Strings, and bluegrass legend Mac Martin.
Sam released his debut EP, ‘Euphonic Premier,’ at the onset of 2020, which included 6 original songs, spanning the gauntlet of the bluegrass genre. It has acclaimed reviews from local and national radio stations alike.
Class Description
Sam’s Jam Class is an introductory course outlining the basic do’s and dont’s of social bluegrass jamming. Together, we will take all the knowledge you have about your instrument, combine it with the ground rules and guidelines of traditional bluegrass, and learn how to socially make music together! This is a no-theory course, but knowing the basic “bluegrass chords (G, C, and D)” is necessary.
