April 17–21 · La Ventana, Baja California Sur

Learn from outstanding instructors, meet some new pickin’ friends, and make music by the sea of Cortez. Baja Bluegrass Camp combines focused instruction with elective workshops, instructor concerts, and plenty of time to jam—or enjoy La Ventana.

April 17 · Welcome to Camp

Evening · Orientation & Instructor Showcase
Meet your instructors and fellow campers, get the details for the days ahead, and enjoy short sets introducing the musicians you’ll be learning from.

Welcome hour 6-7 followed by orientation and some pickin

April 18-20 · Days 1-3

9:00–10:30 AM

Main Class · Learn with your primary instructor and class group.

10:30 AM–1:30 PM

Lunch & Open Time · Jam with fellow campers, practice with your band scramble group, or take a break and explore.

1:30–2:30 PM

Main Class · Continue working with your instructor and group.

2:30–3:00 PM

Afternoon Break

3:00–4:00 PM

Elective Workshops · Explore a specific topic with an instructor. All campers are welcome, regardless of their main class.

4:00–7:00 PM

Dinner & Free Time · Grab a bite, explore La Ventana, or relax by the water.

7:00–8:30 PM

Instructor Concert or Band Scramble (final night Tuesday 4/20)

After the concert

Evening Jams · Keep the music going with fellow campers on the beach.

April 21 · Day 4

Final Main Class · One last session with your instructor and group before camp wraps up.

Following class

Optional Open Jam · Share a few more tunes with fellow campers.

Baja Wondergrass Welcome Party at Polvora · Keep the celebration going as Baja Wondergrass begins. Tickets to welcome party are sold separately from festival passes

Good to Know

  • Electives are open to all campers. You don’t need to be enrolled in an instructor’s main class to attend their workshop.

  • Open time is yours to enjoy. Pick, practice, explore town, or get out on the water if conditions suit, or simply take a break.

  • Instructor concerts are open to the public. A cover charge applies to attendees who are neither registered campers nor guests at Baja Joe’s.
